The kids had their first taste of showing at the county fair this year. Each of them entered a bucket calf to show and it was a really good experience for them!

Daddy fed them most mornings but they helped feed them every evening and worked on breaking them to lead – not an easy feat. At different points in the process, they both told me this was a lot more work than they thought it would be. Daddy loved showing cattle growing up and these kids are fourth generation cattle showmen! We are so glad they had a good first experience! Here’s to many more years in the ring…
