YOU want to know more about ME?! Well, bless your heart.

I am…

…in love with the King of Kings. I want to bless His heart with this blog. Though I can’t earn His favor (see Ephesians 2:8-9), I love Him enough that I want to honor Him and obey Him all the days of my life.

…enamored with my hubby. He’s the sweetest. And handiest. And hottest. (How in the WORLD did I ever land THAT guy?!)

See what I mean?
See what I mean?

…a mom to two INCREDIBLE children. (Again, kudos tothe Big Guy and the hubs.) Sawyer is 3 and Wryder is 5 months. Aren’t they cute and sweet and kissable??

Love these 2!
Mwuah!

…a Texan, born and raised (and proud of it, yes I am)!  The hubby is a born and raised Nebraskan.  I guess that makes our kids Colonebraxans??

I have…

…a desire to leave a legacy of the fear of the Lord for my children and my children’s children and their children’s children. I want this blog to be a written history of His faithfulness and goodness.

…a little farmhouse on the plains of Northeastern Colorado. Nothing fancy, but a TOTAL God story and we LOVE it. We have a few acres to spread our wings and roam, a pony, a goat, two dogs, too many barn cats and a coop full of chickens!

On a winter morn'...
On a winter morn’…

…an eagerness to see people live out the calling the Lord has on their life. There’s nothing better than seeing someone operate in their giftings in obedience to Him.  It’s a beautiful thing.

I love…

…my family, obviously. They’re my heart outside of my body. There is NO ONE I’d rather spend time with than these people!

…BIG hair. And lots of hair spray. And teasing. The higher the hair, the closer to God ya know…

…birthdays!  I like to celebrate mine for a month – ha!  I just think it’s fun to make a fuss over someone you love and adore on the one specific day of the year set aside to honor them.  Plus, it’s a good excuse for a party, yes?  And I love…

…a good party!  I LOVE to create and plan events (big or small) that leave guests feeling like it was well worth their time to attend.

MOPS
A glimpse at a MOPS gathering I put together

…fall and all things cozy; pumpkin, coffee, fires, sweatshirts, fuzzy blankets, snuggling, cloudy skies, people you love all in the same place… (I smiled and sighed just reading that sentence).

…FOOTBALL. Specifically, Red Raider (Texas Tech) football.  Get your guns up!

…any type of production agriculture. I have much respect for the farmer/rancher and long to educate the nation (heck, the world) about the truths and importance of this industry.

Our neighbor, Logan, and Sawyer

…playing hostess.  Come one, come all to our humble abode! Cooking, cleaning, ironing and organizing are a few of my favorite gigs.

I dislike (a whole, whole lot)…

…snakes (duh) and any kind of bug that flies. Even butterflies. And especially moths and bees/wasps. Pretty sure those did NOT come from the Lord.  Pretty sure…

…liars.

…unpacking suitcases. It’s never as enjoyable as packing them in the first place.

…satan and the lies he tells that I so willingly believe. Ugh. No, maybe I hate this one.

…folding a fitted sheet (is that even possible)?!

I am delighted by…

…the strong shoulders, arms and hands of my hubby (he’s THE hardest worker I know) but am delighted even more so by his heart.  He’s the gentlest, kindest man I’ve ever met.

…the sweet smiles, giggles and radiant joy of my little cuties. They are my reward and my blessing.

…the fact that you’re here. And that you’re reading this. May your heart be blessed.
